Knock, knock.... Hello!
If you're considering a house call, you probably want to know who will be showing up at your door. Please meet Helena Kokes.
A Passion for Results
Finding solutions that fit, that's Helena's drive. Whether you're a cat owner wanting your cat to 'rediscover' her litter box, or a dog owner who'd prefer not to be pulled down the street every time another dog appears, Helena will devise a plan that makes real-life sense for your goals and lifestyle, and help you implement it.
A passion for shelter animals
Adopting a new pet from a shelter or rescue is very rewarding but can come with some initial surprises and hurdles. Helena's extensive experience working with animals in shelters makes her uniquely qualified to understand and help with the adjustments that these animals go through in their new homes. Helena's whole carrier has been focused on helping animals thrive and shine despite having been through a rough patch.
Methodology
Keeping in line with the latest scientific research and respected leadership organizations such as the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, the American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior, Helena achieves real-life results through positive training for animals and humans both.
Credentials
Helena has been working to enrich the lives of dogs and cats - and their people - through positive training since 2000, specializing in fear, aggression, and other disruptive behavior issues. She holds her associate certificate in dogs and cats from the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants.
Her shelter experience includes extensive work as a Training and Behavior Consultant for the Humane Society of Boulder Valley, and running the behavior hotline, teaching classes (even Kitten Kindergarten!), training shelter animals, and training staff and volunteers for the Dumb Friends League.
